My Review:
Sarah Drayton finds herself trapped in a marriage that neither she, nor her husband, wanted. The transformation from being a shy, uncertain young lady to a woman of great determination and fortitude had me cheering her on and hoping for better things for her throughout the book.
She had to endure quite a bit: a brooding, angry father-law, conniving household staff, a nasty neighbor or two, and the tragic loss of someone she loved dearly. Sarah’s faith helped her through some of her darkest times and encourages readers to do the same when they face tough times. Kudos to Ms. Miller for addressing the topic of depression in a tasteful and hope-filled manner.
This is the second book in the Regency Wallflower series and can be read as a standalone. I have enjoyed reading this and the first book. I look forward to more.
